Bueller's Way

Whole-Home Remodel

The stunning transformation of this Haile Plantation home was undertaken in 2 phases, to minimize upheaval in the life of the homeowner. First, we addressed the common areas of the home, providing custom built-in entertainment cabinets and reworking the fireplace and mantel. Flooring, light fixtures and interior trim were all upgraded. The home was repainted and refreshed throughout.

Next, it was onto the kitchen and master suite. The kitchen makeover included high-end stainless steel appliances, a pot-filler faucet above the cooktop, custom cabinetry, new tile backsplash, granite countertops, and tile flooring. The kitchen layout was reworked to remove a pantry closet, replacing it instead with pantry cabinetry and to add a uniquely angled island for additional workspace.

The master bathroom was overhauled to remove an unused tub, and replace with an oversized shower. The shower was designed to allow accessibility for the homeowner to age-in-place, with considerations such as a gradual slope so there would be no threshold to the shower entry, grab bars, a bench for seated bathing, and a hand-shower system. The cabinets are custom, with a central storage tower, and coordinating hook boards to either side of the vanity sinks.
