Responsibilities:

1. Perform on-site visits as necessary with Sales & Design and subcontractors to determine pre-existing site conditions, and to allow subcontractors to provide an accurate bid.
2. Broadcasting and accepting of bids. Negotiate pricing with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors with the assistance of Sales & Design.
3. Collect detailed estimates from all trades and construction divisions including labor, subcontractors, material quantities and Owner approved selections.
4. Coordinate with Sales & Design to stay on schedule with producing estimates for potential jobs.
5. Review and interpret quotes from subcontractors to ensure they are comprehensive for the project’s scope of work.
6. Enter quotes and bids into estimating software package.
7. Acquire specs and cut sheets for plumbing fixtures, tile, cabinets, appliances, etc. as selected by Owner and identify those items with long lead times.
8. Evaluate potential suppliers and subcontractors and negotiate best pricing and volume discounts.
9. Assist Production with the creation of purchase orders and scheduling deliveries.
10. Assist Sales & Design and Production with pricing and creation of change orders.
11. Be available to Production when project is underway to resolve questions regarding pricing, entries, logic, etc.
12. Assist in creating and maintenance of project schedules and a master schedule, with the assistance of Sales and Production.
13. Participate in job autopsies to identify budget shortfalls/windfalls and refine estimating process and database accordingly.
14. Maintain cost database/pricing updates in estimating software package and evaluate systems to streamline estimating process.
15. Other duties as assigned.

The Estimator will maintain working hours of forty to forty-five hours per week.
